Adidas removed model Bella Hadid from sneaker ads

Adidas has removed the image of model Bella Hadid, who is of Palestinian descent, in an ad for athletic shoes that were first released for the 1972 Munich Olympics. During those competitions, a terrorist attack was committed by the Palestinian group "Black September".
The sportswear brand said it was "rethinking" its campaign after criticism from Israel over Hadid's involvement. The American model, whose father is of Palestinian origin, advertised the SL72 sneakers, which Adidas calls a classic.

"We are aware that links have been made to tragic historical events (although this was completely unintentional) and we apologize for any distress or distress caused," Adidas said.

It is about the events when members of the Palestinian group "Black September" broke into the Olympic Village on September 5, 1972. 11 members of the Israeli team were taken hostage and killed, and a German policeman also died.

Previously, the Israeli government had already accused the model of anti-Semitism and chanting the slogan "From the river to the sea - Palestine will be free." Over the years, Hadid has repeatedly criticized the Israeli government and supported the Palestinians.
